Dispatch 46: ANTIFA in Atlanta – Proud Boys, MAGA: YOU ARE AT WAR

Over the evening hours, at least hundreds of vehicles with flags honked by the Governor’s mansion.

Informational photographs.

Sun setting. Getting chilly.

image063

Still by Governor’s mansion.

I was dressed in black and not wearing anything supporting Trump – this guy asked if I was ANTIFA. I said no. Most interesting is that I was dressed more like ANTIFA and no MAGA people bothered me. Try wearing a MAGA hat with the other side. You might literally be killed.

Something the billionaires need to think about: Am hearing more and more conservatives in step with the likes of AOC when it comes to gutting billionaires like Bill Gates and other Big Tech. Various Big Tech, and Billionaires, are building backlash from all sides.

In front of the Georgian Governor Brian Kemp’s mansion.

Earlier on Sunday at the Capital Building in Atlanta. Maybe a thousand or two thousand MAGA came here. I do not know because I only walked through the crowd while it was still growing, and I went over to the BLAMTIFA side that was separated by Georgia State Police.

Your choices about heroes vs. villains are warped, my friend. There really are no heroes or villains in this internal conflict. There are people who care, people who don’t care, and people who would say fucking anything to have the attention on themselves.

You are deluded. Or working for the enemy.

Murder on the streets, and you see no villainy?

You must have income and a home.

Amazing that you think mass arson, murder, and rape, are not villainous behaviors.

Idiotic moral equivalence posing as deep thinking insight. Yeah, people demonstrating their love of country and individual rights are exactly the same as psychopaths torching businesses. Brilliant insight.

I’d say that the Antifa rioters who are beating people up and burning business districts are villains. Likewise, the Black Lives Matter looters who are cleaning out stores are villains, too. The heroes are the cops who defend us against these villains, while being sent to the hospital by the hundreds.

Amazing that this confuses some people. They advertise that murder, rape, and arson are just First Amendment rights.

I went to all the big anti-war demonstrations during the Younger Bush years. They were all vast collections of grievances, from far Left to insane. Of course, all the communist and socialist groups were there, marching in matching T-shirts and street-wide banners which identified exactly who they were, but you never saw them captured in liberal media. You could not miss them if you were there. ANSWER ran all the big demonstrations, so they always had signs pleading for North Korea, their pet cause. The insane groups were people who claimed the CIA was monitoring their brain waves or Coca-Cola was fielding paramilitary death squads in Central America or women walking around half-naked, dressed in electrical tape. For 95% of the protestors, it was a party.

I read your posts when you were writing from Iraq/Sunni Triangle. In particular, I loved the Gates of Fire missives. Your stories filled me with awe because your gift of words showcased the magnificence, determination and humanity of our troops. You didn't make it 'pretty', you just showed what was.

This is now and you're still doing it. Prefer peace but war if we must. And we must.

As a photographer you know that the photo of a single person devoid of context means nothing. You are better than that! Also, almost every judge (most of them appointed by Republicans) has tossed out claims of "election stealing", so why do you advertise that rally?
    • This commment is unpublished.
      mike · 5 months ago
      "Almost every judge...."

Judges are only the arbiters of law, not of truth, and we have seen so many judges in recent years who happily warp written law to fit their own desires that there is little trust left for any of them. If you are harmed by someone, but fail to prove it in court and the judge tosses out your claim, do you then tell yourself that you werent actually harmed?
Right now, tens of millions of voters believe the election was decided by fraud. Here on the ground in one of the key states in question, the evidence is extensive and many know it deep in their gut, that the results arent real. Proving it in court may be a challenge and getting judges to risk their careers to block an 'election' result even moreso. But that doesnt make the fraud any less real, nor does it remove the anger and intense frustration of millions of fellow citizens.

        A Student · 5 months ago
That comment is just bizarre. "The law" includes the Constitution and all its amendments. Judges interpret the law fairly and impartially. To claim that every judge that has laughed out of court the bleatings of Giuliany & Co. is crooked takes the persecution complex to a whole new level.
Reality is that the election was won by the Democrats by over 6 million votes. No real evidence of fraud or corruption has been produced. It is time for all Americans to remember that the Flag covers all, whether white, black, right or left wing.

"Judges interpret the law fairly and impartially"? I can tell that you are a young student without much exposure to the real world unfiltered by your professors lens of "truth". Everyone has bias. Some judges are fair and some aren't. Many liberal judges tend to legislate from the bench based on the bend of their politics. Just look at the 9th circuit for further proof of judicial activism.

Mike, it’s time for you to quit your bullshit and either put up or shut up.

In the public media, where you are free to say anything, they claim “fraud” to keep the tribe whipped up in a manufactured frenzy. But in the courtroom, where there are severe consequences for lying, they explicitly said that they are not claiming and fraud whatsoever.

Time to stop being such an easily manipulated chump.

They believe that but the question is, why do they believe it. And the answer is not because of the overwhelming evidence because we haven't seen any. If you have some evidence we'd love to see it but all you post is opinions.

Some of the obvious leftist comments here are disgusting.

Plain and simple, this is a coordinated attack on this country by leftists and globalists unhappy with the freedoms we have- both intellectual and physical. Those add up to personal wealth and a loss of revenue for them.

If the leftist trash succeeds in the theft of this election, the 2nd amendment will fall and what’s left of the 1st will be hot on its heels. Then property ownership rights. 1984 or the idiocracy, or a combination of the two.

"When sufficient number of people believe a government is illegitimate, and are willing to do something serious, you are at war," sounds familiar. Where else did I read something like that?

I think it went something like "when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

And I pray to the Lord that it hasn't quite come to that pass yet! But the party that now pretends to have won the Presidential election makes George III look like a Wenceslas by comparison.

Great article, Mike. You mention that some people got past police lines during that day, but it was very easy when night fell. I was in Atlanta on a different day, I think, as an independent observer, taking pictures and film for actually a blog project I'm doing for my own historical artistic projects that I like to make. I'm a rank amateur, I have no illusions about it. I filmed ANTIFA people close up after dark and one grabbed my camera and threw it on the ground (it was a cheap Kodak EasyShare, better quality than a phone, but who wants to have their phone grabbed and tossed?) and then they threw a haymaker into my chest... into hard rifle plate level 4. Their hand broke to pieces. I ran to the nearest ATL cop and told them what had happened, they were understanding, told me I was lucky, and to go home. I did all these things.

This is all ugly to me. I was born here, and grew up here. As an adult I work here but I know there are some places you just don't go at all.

thanks for the photos and your observations about the scenes unfolding in them. Often your photo captions pull together the elements in the photos in a way that makes sense of the feelings I have about is going on in them. I hope that makes sense. I can't help but feel that this stuff is what you were born for. I am encouraged that there are people like you out there doing what you do.

This is great front row perspective. It's strange and alarming to think that we are at war, but the forces behind the media are doing everything to gaslight us into thinking we are NOT at war. Notice how patriots citing the 2nd amendment as a means to take back our country/restore peace/protect our rights/take the next step in the logical conclusion to the theft of freedom, are treated as though they're the ones who are inciting the violence they mean to end. This first hand account is valuable and important. Thanks for doing this. Stay safe
