Who'd have thought our own government would be our worst enemy. But along with our great Marines we will not give up. We as citizens of this Nation now must fight in the defense of our Constitution, our people and our freedom. God bless all Marines and other Military branches and give us wisdom to take back our Country.

Our Founders knew that tyranny by government was the biggest potential threat to freedoms gained before the Constitution was written. Blood sacrifice by those Patriots in the Thirteen colonies secured Freedom from foreign oppressors but we have a Federal Government that is parasitical and unresponsive to the voices of the people. This will not end nicely. God Bless this Nation, and All who value Freedom and Justice.

There are NO cuts to the USMC budget; there is only a reduction in the GROWTH of spending.

So, you are saying that General Amos is lying, or that he has no idea what the funding of the USMC is?

Federal workers will be furloughed, but will eventually, get back pay. Obama exempted welfare & foodstamp recipients. Cuts in foreign aid to Pakistan, or Egypt was not a consideration. TSA purchased new uniforms, costing $500 million. I think the First Family should have some skin in the game, and take less extravagant vacations. Our Imperial President has shown us, on more than one occasion, where his loyalty lies.

This is the first I've heard that DoD workers will get back pay. We are all being told our pay is being cut 10% (20% for half the year). Could you please substantiate this claim? I'm not challenging you, I would really like to see it in writing.

I have a niece, who is a welder, at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, in Honolulu. She has 22 days furlough coming. She recently changed shop & got a raise. I doubt she'll get back pay, but they haven't cutback her OT. I imagine federal workers, other than those under the DoD, will get back pay. Here's one article: http://www.govexec.com/pay-benefits/2013/02/some-federal-workers-see-silver-lining-spring-furloughs/61576/?oref=river
