Just mailed a small donation to your Florida address. I pray for your safety on this journey as I have on all your other ones. I am very proud of the job you are doing to give us the real story. God bless.

Hi Michael,

If you get near Camp Nolan Smith in Kandahar, PLEASE say hello to my son-in-law Rob Sterling who is a Chaplain for the 504th Military Police Battalion. He's a GREAT guy, married to our daughter who is a Major in the Army Medical Corps. It would be nice if you could surprise him by giving him my BEST WISHES for a safe return home.

Thank you,

Peter Olney

I don't always like to read what you have to say, but the truth needs to be told, painful and real as it is. Stay safe.

have to wait for your posts here Mike, am off FB they tried a phishing operation on me when I moved - trying to get me to ID people in photo's - many, most of which I'd never uploaded/seen before as part of a security feature.

Besides, am to busy these days to spend the time on FB that I did before so with very few exceptions its no loss

Keep your head down and keep yourself focused

It is my understanding that during his victory parades, along with the troops and weapons, Mao Se Tung gave an honored place in the lineup to a printing press.

If anyone wants to get a real feel of what it is like to be in Afghanistan then I suggest watching the documentary RESTREPO. It is available online (Google it), at most video rentals and available on NETFLIX.

You will come away either for or against our involvement there, but you will surely have a deep respect for our troops and what they go through in that hell hole!

Michael,

Thank you for clarifying the incident and obvious media twist that Rolling Stone is attempting. Also I commend you for being vocal about what the difference is between excessive force and escalation of force.

Keep driving on and telling it as it is.

I think it likely America will leave Afghanistan sooner rather than later. Will you be happy to see the Taliban rule and Afghanistan to continue grinding along in the darkness of the 14th Century? No science, no art, no human rights--but the heavy fist of Islam and Sharia law holding everything down and in place? Are you and most Afghanis going to be happy with that outcome?
