All is looking good for my return to Afghanistan within one week. The more researched photo-dispatches will be published here. For daily updates that will not make it to main dispatches, please sign up for my Facebook.
Your support is crucial for my work in Afghanistan. Thank you.
Reader support is crucial to this mission. Weekly or monthly recurring ‘subscription’ based support is the best, though all are greatly appreciated. Recurring and one-time donations are available through PayPal or Authorize.net.

I will continue to do my part in telling the stories that are not being told. Readers must also do their part by keeping the cash flowing. Cash is essential .
Thank you!

If you get near Camp Nolan Smith in Kandahar, PLEASE say hello to my son-in-law Rob Sterling who is a Chaplain for the 504th Military Police Battalion. He's a GREAT guy, married to our daughter who is a Major in the Army Medical Corps. It would be nice if you could surprise him by giving him my BEST WISHES for a safe return home.
Thank you,
Peter Olney

Besides, am to busy these days to spend the time on FB that I did before so with very few exceptions its no loss
Keep your head down and keep yourself focused
You will come away either for or against our involvement there, but you will surely have a deep respect for our troops and what they go through in that hell hole!
Thank you for clarifying the incident and obvious media twist that Rolling Stone is attempting. Also I commend you for being vocal about what the difference is between excessive force and escalation of force.
Keep driving on and telling it as it is.
