It's amazing how quickly one gets used to this - or no showers at all. For those of us with hair, washing it with 2 bottles of water can be a challenge but, after some practice, the end result is acceptable - besides, who really cares!? And really ... after a while, because everyone smells the same, nothing seems out of the ordinary. The first shower, during R&R or on the way home, however, is nothing short of heavenly. Mine was hot and an hour long! Thank you, as always, Michael, for what you do!

Great pix Mike, unfortunately, the entire article was redacted to lines of dots by my carrier. I will find the USO paper and read it in its entirety. I am a great admirer of your entire body of work and have files going back five years. You have matured admirably as has my son who knew you in Mosul. I am SO PROUD of you BOTH. I wish ALL the best for you!
