Independence Day

Anyway, it’s great to be home, although I know the day approaches when I’ll return to Iraq to write about our people and chronicle the changes as another country wrestles with democracy. In case anyone forgets what it’s like to be bet against, or finds themselves surrounded by people insisting that whatever enterprise they endeavor to complete will never make it, here is an article from the New York Times that serves as a timely reminder about the great power that lies in the engaged will of a principled person.
