In another twist that raises new questions about a New York Times Pulitzer Prize-winning story, the Government Accountability Office has given its blessing to a wartime Department of Defense program that briefed retired military officers about operations in Iraq and Afghanistan before they went on TV to talk about the conflicts. "There is no doubt that DoD attempted to favorably influence public opinion with respect to the administration's war policies" with the program, said the GAO. "However, we conclude that these activities did not violate the publicity or propaganda prohibition."

Thank You
Dear Mr. Yon,
You most certainly have my gratitude and appreciation for the work you do. I want to pledge my support spiritually, financially, moraly and as a fellow human being.
I am convince that there are bad people in that part of the world and they there are also good people - like our Men and Women of our Beloved Arm Forces. All i pray is for our good Lord to come back quickly and to put an end to all this evil. You are not alone! Take Care. My financial support may not be as big like others, but i will send it anyway.
Best Regards and God's speed and protection always,
RW

the administrations WHAT?
"public opinion with respect to the administration's war policies"

But wait, Obama ran a campaign of SLANDER against Bush on "war in Iraq is so bad" (on the general Leftist platform that any war is bad) with a trumped up charge that "there were no weapons in Iraq" - never-minding that the reason they didnt find the chemical weapons Iraq had made is that they all been used on Iran (UN MOVIC documents).

Add "hypocrite in Chief" to the list of titles...

NOT ONCE have I heard (and I listen daily) the Leftist CONgress and Usurper in Chief decry war and demand a total withdrawal.

"eclipse anything we’ve seen in Iraq"

Probably, Iraq was a cake-walk. Iraq was taking out Central Govt quickly, then dealing with fragments of religious zealots in a Sunni-Shia religious battle. Afghanistan is full of SOLDIERS. Cant beat SOLDIERS unless were prepared to do WAR.
