I haven't read the whole thing yet, but the first real whopper turns up on page 3 -- about 'husbanding resources' to put security where it is most needed. What crap. How can anybody rationalize unarmed non-military guards at a U.S. diplmatic mission in a terrorist-ridde n hell-hole while fancy European missions have their personal Marine guards aplenty? We have armed guards here at the consulate in TORONTO, for cripes sake. Page 3 is a blatantly politicized attempt to shift blame to a Republican House. What a gutter move.

From beginning to end, assuming reports are correct, the assault on the compound lasted nearly seven hours. Are we to believe that there are no US Navy warships in the Mediterranean. No aircraft carriers, no Marines on board those ships, no armed drones anywhere in the area. Again I say horse-hockey. Our Commander-in-Ch ief and his staff failed to do their jobs and Americans died.

Why do we need secuiety anymore. Aren't the terrorists all pooped out or on the run? That's what our messiah tells us. Besides give him a few more months and there won't be any country to secure. He's a genius at solving problems isn't he. That's how he got reelected I'm guessing....jus t buy your way into office and you don't have to worry about real voters...

highlights
- lack of response besides inner 'team' i.e. the two locations in Bengahazi
- two hours to launch private jet from Tripoli /w 7 man security team
- focus on 'temporary' designation which directed spending & policy decisions by State department
- below minimum standard tactical & operational training for close protection team
- indigenous 'troops' nearly useless
- initial response by close protection team (4 man) seemed to focus on 'perimeter/zone ' rather than 'asset' based response
- i.e.) only one c.p.o. was with Ambassador
- focus was not immediately on ex-fill/escape but barricade/wait
a) why was this?
b) what was ex-fill/escape contingency plan if there was one?

How many (commoner) soldiers have died since then in Afghan? No idea? I guess they aren't important like the Ambass. Didn't go to ivy league, not from the same social circles. Certainly don't want my daughter to marry them.

I served with DS (Diplomatic Security) staff when I was a Marine at the US Embassy in Kabul. They seemed pretty good, then, but looks like they dropped the ball here...

What makes me sick is how the media did their best to bury this story to protect their Messiah. Whenever anyone brought it up, it was cast as a "witchhunt". If this happened under Bush or any Republican, the media would have crucified him and liberals would be screaming for impeachment and imprisonment. Obama and his goons get a free pass on everything, they can do no wrong to certain people in this country.

Well hell! That was a waste of 39 pages and the bandwidth associated with it...

I'm fairly certain that there specific people who should be wearing a big badge of shame for their lack of action or maybe just mere inability regarding the assault on the Benghazi counsulate...

When the people in charge are getting real time video of the assault and have on hand a ready force capable of mitigating this disaster and don't do anything, well that's just criminal!!!

There are no valid excuses for this fiasco...
