The launch point was close by my location in West Rashid, and Iraqi and US Army teams are searching for the culprits. The soldiers I am currently with (1-28) caught the persons responsible for the October 10th attack on Victory Base that killed two US soldiers and wounded at least 38 others. The point of origin for that attack was also nearby in this known JAM stronghold. Although the investigation into the rocket attack of about 90 minutes ago is ongoing, it was most likely perpetrated by JAM.
There is very little al Qaeda left in this area. One known al Qaeda operative was found dead last week, shot in the head. Despite these attacks, violence continues to decrease.
UPDATE: Most of the rockets reportedly landed on Camp Victory. Three persons were reported wounded. One has apparently already returned to duty. The condition of the other two was not reported.
